CraftforCalm

$25/class · Select Saturdays

Reservations required

Join us for group craft classes on select Saturday mornings. Each session is a chance to step away from screens, settle into a creative project, and spend an unhurried morning making something with your hands. There’s no experience required — just willingness to slow down and play.

Working with our hands has a way of quieting the noisier parts of our heads. We’ve found it can be especially helpful when life feels overstimulating or when you just need a different kind of rest. Our practice does clinical mental health work throughout the week, but Craft for Calm is something different — a wellness gathering with a therapeutic spirit, open to ages 16 and older.

Bring yourself, your curiosity, and the pace you take on a quiet morning at home. We’ll provide light refreshments, and everything else to craft!

Taper candles decorated with colorful floral and citrus decoupage patterns, displayed in glass candlesticks

Saturday, June 27

Decoupage Candles

9:00 – 10:30 AM

Spend a morning making decoupage candles. We’ll layer delicate patterns — florals, citrus, whatever catches your eye — onto taper candles and seal them into a one-of-a-kind set to take home. It’s simple, soothing, and forgiving: no two candles turn out alike, and that’s the point.

Smooth river rocks painted with colorful mandala dot patterns in gold, teal, red, and blue

Saturday, July 11

Grounding Stones

9:00 – 10:30 AM

Dot by dot, we’ll paint colorful mandala patterns (or anything else… for that matter) onto smooth river stones — a steady, rhythmic craft that’s almost meditative once you find your pace. You’ll leave with a small collection of painted stones to keep, gift, or tuck somewhere that needs a little color.

A woman taping the edges of a card painted with soft purple watercolor washes, with a watercolor palette and pencils on the table

Saturday, July 18

Meditative Watercolor Practice

9:00 – 10:30 AM

Slow down with watercolor. Using loose, unhurried washes — no drawing skill needed — we’ll let colors bloom and blend across the card to a soothing sound bath. Watching pigment move through water is half the calm!

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need any craft experience?

Nope. Most attendees come with no background in the craft we’re working on. We pick projects that are easy to start and forgiving to learn on.

Is this therapy?

It isn’t. Craft for Calm is a wellness gathering led by a therapist, but it’s not clinical care, and what’s shared in the group isn’t part of any therapeutic record. If you’re looking for individual therapy, our team is happy to set up a free 15-minute consultation.

Do I need to come every week?

Not at all. Each Saturday is a standalone session — sign up for whichever weeks fit your schedule. Drop in as often or as little as you want.

Have a question we didn’t cover? Reach out through our contact page — we’ll get back to you within a business day.
