Educational Background

Master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling

Auburn University, Auburn, Alabama

My graduate education at Auburn University provided me with a comprehensive foundation in clinical mental health counseling. The program emphasized evidence-based practices, ethical decision-making, and culturally responsive care. Through rigorous coursework and supervised clinical training, I developed expertise in individual and couples therapy, crisis intervention, and treatment planning.

Clinical Training & Supervision

Throughout my educational journey, I completed extensive practicum and internship experiences, providing therapy under the supervision of licensed professionals. This hands-on training allowed me to work with diverse populations and refine my therapeutic skills while maintaining the highest standards of care.

Professional Journey

Associate Licensed Counselor (ALC)

Expected Licensure: September 2025

I am currently completing the final requirements for my ALC licensure in Alabama, expected in September 2025. This milestone represents years of dedicated study, clinical training, and supervised practice, ensuring I meet the highest professional standards for independent practice.

Clinical Experience

Over the past two years, I have gained valuable clinical experience working with individuals and couples facing a wide range of mental health challenges. This experience has deepened my understanding of the therapeutic process and refined my ability to create safe, supportive environments where healing can occur.

My Philosophy

I believe that every person has an innate capacity for growth, healing, and resilience. My role as your therapist is not to "fix" you, but to provide a safe, non-judgmental space where you can explore your thoughts and feelings, gain new insights, and develop the tools you need to create positive change in your life.

Therapy is a collaborative process. While I bring clinical expertise and evidence-based techniques to our work together, you are the expert on your own life. I honor your unique perspective, experiences, and goals as we work together to address your concerns and build on your strengths.

I am committed to creating an inclusive, culturally responsive practice where people of all backgrounds feel welcomed and understood. Whether you're dealing with anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship issues, or life transitions, I'm here to support you with compassion, respect, and clinical excellence.

Auburn Connection

Having completed my graduate education at Auburn University, I have a deep connection to and understanding of the Auburn community. I appreciate the unique challenges and opportunities that come with living in a college town, from the academic pressures faced by students to the community dynamics that shape our daily lives.

Whether you're a student, faculty member, long-time Auburn resident, or new to the area, I understand the local context and am committed to providing mental health services that meet the specific needs of our community. Auburn is more than just where I practice—it's my home, and I'm invested in supporting the well-being of everyone who calls it home.
